Despite the multiple calls from the authorities, the reflections that are read on social networks every time an accident occurs, the high accident rate does not reduce in Yopal, where primarily the fatal victims are motorcyclists.
During Saturday night, two accidents occurred in this type of vehicle, where the drivers unfortunately lost their lives and today their families remember them and cry.
On the road to Tacarimena
Around 7:30 pm, an accident was reported at kilometer 25 of the Yopal – Tacarimena highway, where Mr. Luis Alberto Reyes Pérez, 50, was injured, as his motorcycle with license plate BIC02F overturned.
According to the authorities’ report, Mr. Reyes Pérez fell to the asphalt, causing serious injuries that made it necessary to transfer him to a medical center, where his death was reported around 9:30 pm due to the severity of the injuries.
The authorities hypothesize in this case a possible excess of speed, and they are also analyzing whether the motorcyclist would be drunk.
At 30 and 11
In the second case, around 11:30 p.m. on the same Saturday, a man identified as Dannis Jair Díaz, 31, died after an accident on 30th Street and 11th Street in Yopal.
According to the report from the traffic authorities, the victim was traveling on a motorcycle with license plate BIC02F, lost control of the vehicle on the curve and ended up violently colliding with the road separator and a tree.
It was reported that this driver did not have a valid Driver’s License. The hypothesis is a possible excess of speed and it is analyzed whether the victim had consumed intoxicating beverages.
