A Summary Meeting on the Theme Education of Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was held in Beijing on February 4th, as reported by the Xinhua News Agency. The meeting came after Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech while presiding over a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
During his speech, Xi Jinping emphasized the need to consolidate and expand the results of thematic education, implement opinions, and form a long-term mechanism. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening theoretical arming, educating and guiding party members and cadres, promoting the solution of problems, improving the style of work, and consolidating the grassroots foundation.
The meeting also conveyed Xi Jinping’s important speech at the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee. Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and leader of the Central Leading Group for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s personal planning, direct leadership, full guidance and demonstration in achieving the remarkable results of thematic education.
Cai Qi noted that the thematic education has accumulated new experience for the implementation of centralized education within the party in the new era, mainly focusing on theoretical study throughout, problem orientation, serving central tasks, and avoiding formalism.
The theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era began in April last year and was carried out in two batches from top to bottom and is now basically completed. Members of the Central Leading Group for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and responsible comrades in the office, as well as heads of various departments and organizations, attended the meeting in the form of a video and telephone conference.
The summary meeting in Beijing further emphasized the importance of consolidating and expanding the results of thematic education, unswervingly and comprehensively and strictly governing the party. It also called for the continued promotion of the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and making efforts to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization.
