A summary meeting on the theme of studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was held in Beijing on February 4th. The meeting conveyed Xi Jinping’s important speech on consolidating and expanding the achievements of thematic education, making arrangements for studying and implementing the spirit of the speech. Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and leader of the Central Leading Group for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
At the meeting, Xi Jinping emphasized the need to consolidate and expand the results of thematic education and implement opinions, and form a long-term mechanism. He highlighted the importance of strengthening theoretical arming, continuing to promote the solution of problems, improving the style of work, and consolidating the grassroots foundation. He also urged party committees at all levels to regard the consolidation and expansion of thematic education results as a major political task and to implement them to the letter.
Cai Qi, in his speech, emphasized the remarkable results of the thematic education and the importance of deeply understanding and conscientiously implementing Xi Jinping’s important speech. He also pointed out the experience accumulated for the implementation of centralized education within the party in the new era and the need to unswervingly and comprehensively and strictly govern the party.
The theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era began in April last year and was carried out in two batches from top to bottom, and is now basically completed. The meeting was attended by members of the Central Leading Group for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, responsible comrades in the office, and other officials from various levels of government and organizations.
