A total of 6,000 units of new stamps called “Mercosur: Trades and Occupations” were presented, this Monday, the 6th, by the National Post Office of Paraguay (Dinacopa), through its Philatelic Advisory Department.
On the stamps you can see the works called the Verdulería and the Yuyera y Chipera, which correspond to the national plastic artist Silvio Oviedo Ferreira, who donated his works that are now reflected on the stamps.
They are two different units of stamps, but with equal values of G. 6000 each unit, explained the general director of Dinacopa, Nidia López, during the launch of the postal stamps at the Hotel Guaraní.
Postage stamps are ambassadors of the culture of the countries, because in each motif they portray customs, historical and significant facts such as, without a doubt, those that refer to trades and occupations.
The president of the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel), Juan Carlos Duarte Duré, highlighted the importance of communications and postal services. The directors of Dinacopa and Conatel participated in the ceremony.
