Five young people lost their lives in an accident that took place just before midnight on provincial road 45 in the municipality of Rezzato, in the province of Brescia. The victims, four boys and a girl, were between 18 and 23 years old. They were in a car that collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction.
According to Bresciaoggi, the driver of the bus, who was alone on board, was not seriously injured. He said he was in front of the car and couldn’t avoid it. The boys, some of foreign origin, lived in the Valsabbia area.
On the spot the ambulances, whose staff could only ascertain the death of the young people, the firefighters who extracted the bodies from the plates and the traffic police.
