After 9/11: the CIA’s dirty war on terrorism (Video)

by admin

As the US military attacked Afghanistan in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks, the CIA began a secret war to gather information from jihadists or alleged terrorists. To whom, it was said, the Geneva conventions on prisoners of war did not apply. In 2014, however, the truth emerged about the methods used for years against detainees.

Sleep deprivation waterboarding and various forms of torture: very violent interrogation practices and degrading methods have been used in many secret prisons around the world and in the Guantanamo military base. These interrogations were supposed to provide crucial information on the terrorist plots, but ultimately proved useless.
