This is what was declared by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia Riccardo Riccardi during the videoconference meeting with about sixty mayors of the Udine area and the prefect of Udine Massimo Marchesiello.
Riccardi explained that “on the one hand there are the specific and direct initiatives that private individuals or local authorities are able to develop for the benefit of known situations with contacts and on the other hand the complex mechanism activated by the institutions to identify reception structures, making essential materials available and offering health support. All within a framework made even more complex by the pandemic situation “.
The deputy governor underlined that “the regional civil protection is preparing, should it be necessary and required, to set up reception camps for refugees in Slovakia and Moldova. Furthermore, the hypothesis that Friuli Venezia Giulia can host, in coordination with our health system, the sorting center for drugs that will be made available to refugees fleeing the war “.
