Alghero Foundation, Delogu ‘My revocation? Personal fact’ – News

“The mayor’s dismissal of the board of directors of the Alghero Foundation has no political or administrative implications, but is based on personal reasons.” Fired two weeks ago together with board member Sara Govoni, the president and director of the subsidiary of which the Municipality of Alghero is the sole shareholder, Andrea Delogu, spares no criticism of the mayor Mario Conoci. “The mayor evidently suffers from short-term memory lapses,” is the broadside. “To justify the measure he put forward reasons inconsistent with the minutes – explains Delogu – from which it is clear that the choices made regarding the failure to identify a director were taken unanimously and widely shared with the mayor and his delegates”.

Sara Govoni reveals that “since last November I have been under pressure to resign and bring down the board of directors”. And this, according to her and the former president, “certifies that there was a precise will, but there is no motivation, neither administrative nor political”. A frontal attack, the one launched by the two directors already replaced with a new board of directors which includes Pier Paolo Carta, the former vice president who resigned on the eve of the regional elections. “It is surprising that the mayor dismissed the measure the day after the official presentation of the arguments requested by the general secretary of the Municipality, without taking it into account at all”, insists Delogu. “And I find it very annoying that the mayor, after having approved all the documents, makes inferences about my compensation. Because the double role of president and director, if anything, was an assumption of responsibility which allowed me to carry out actions right up until the end decisive for the functioning of the administrative machine”, he points out.

The press conference was called by Andrea Delogu and Sara Govoni to take stock of a mandate full of administrative, economic and planning results. “Happy to have contributed to making the structure of the Foundation stable, which has extraordinary skills and abilities – say the two – we are very satisfied to have increased the numbers of accesses to the museums and to the Neptune’s Grotto, but also to have made Alghero at the center of a national circuit of major events and for having made our New Year’s Eve a point of reference for the whole of Italy”.
