Alpago, face to face with the thief in the corridor of the house

The owner came home at lunchtime, he found the intruder in front of him: he put him on the run. The carabinieri at work to give man an identity

ALPAGO. Close encounter with the thieves yesterday morning for a resident of the small hamlet of Quers in Alpago. A village with about seventy inhabitants, where everyone knows each other.

At about half past twelve, the man was returning home, after spending time on his farm, when a stranger was found in the corridor looking into his wife’s purse. Wife who until then, despite being inside the house intent on household chores, she had not noticed anything, so much the attacker had been able to enter the domestic walls of this alpagota family.

The man, finding in front of the stranger, immediately understood that he was a thief and with great courage and promptness of spirit he faced him. The result was a struggle, at the end of which the criminal managed to escape, heading towards a car with an accomplice inside who was waiting for him a little further on. The thief then quickly got into the car to run away. From what is known, he shouldn’t have been taken away from the alpagota family’s home and purse.

The carabinieri from the nearby station were therefore called on the spot for an inspection. Looking and searching the area from the house to the place where the accomplice’s car was parked, a cell phone was also found that the thief would have lost in the escape. And it is on this evidence that the military of the Arma will most likely move for their investigations and to be able to reach the author of the attempted theft. For the unfortunate alpagoto a lot of fear and anger for not being able to stop the thief. Now it will be up to the investigations to shed light on what happened.
