Ilex Photo is a gallery founded in Rome in 2008 by Deanna Richardson representing several Italian and international artists. At the end of March, you launched an online auction that will run until April 10, to help Ukraine and promote its artistic production.
“Some photographers are fighting on the field, others are watching helplessly the destruction of the cities where they were born: we immediately felt the need to offer our help”, say the organizers. At auction there are 24 shots by as many authors, including Nikolai Kozlovsky, Yuri Rupin, Yelena Yemchuk and Maxim Dondyuk.
This initiative made it possible to discover the richness of Ukrainian photography, both in its past and in its contemporary production. That’s why one of Ilex Photo’s next goals is to set up an exhibition in a large European city with various artists from the country.
