by admin

Shots were fired again in Brussels, this time in Vorst. A man was shot in the legs there during a kidnapping attempt on Monday evening around 9 p.m. His life would not be in danger.

The local police of the Brussels South zone (Anderlecht/Sint-Gillis/Vorst) will not comment for the time being and will refer the matter to the Brussels public prosecutor’s office. That will communicate later.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the area known as ‘Altitude 100’, between Alsembergsesteenweg, Dudenpark and Vorst Park. The exact circumstances of the shooting are not yet clear, but according to initial reports, an attempt was made to kidnap a man who was standing at the bus stop. He was shot in the legs.

The victim has now been taken to hospital. His life is not in danger. The police are on the scene en masse.

It is already the umpteenth shooting in Brussels. Last week there was also a death. It has not yet been confirmed whether the new incident on Monday evening can be linked to the drug environment.
