On April 26, Yarlinton Robledo Rentería, a social leader, member of the board of directors of the Association of Displaced Youth and the Manos Unidas project, and a law student at the Technological University of Chocó, was murdered.
He was in a public establishment in the Zona Minera neighborhood of Quibdó when a person broke in and took his life. A young Camilo was also murdered in the event.
According to the Institute of Development and Peace Studies, Indepaz, this is the 56th social leader murdered in Colombia this year.
According to the Chocó Oversight Office in Quibdó, there have been 40 homicides this year.
