From tomorrow, 1 July, the historic center of Aosta is once again a pedestrian area. Until August 31st, residents and tourists will be able to walk the streets of the center crossing less traffic than what is normally authorized to travel the center. Furthermore, for bicycles and cycles, even with pedal assistance, the speed limit is triggered.

The time slots involved are from 12 to 15 and from 19.30 to 23.

As the Municipality of Aosta specifies, the pedestrian area “prohibits the transit of all vehicles, except those in emergency and rescue service, serving disabled people, with limited or impeded motor skills, cycles, including pedaling ones assisted, with the obligation not to exceed the speed of 6 Km / h, as well as vehicles in possession of the Ztl transit, stop / stop type “A” valid “. The type “C” restricted traffic area permits will be allowed to transit and stop / stop between 4 pm and 7 pm, in addition to the already scheduled morning slot extended until 11.30 am.

The pedestrian area affects via Sant’Anselmo, via Ex Prato della Fiera, via Porta Prætoria, piazza Chanoux (with the exception of the driveway located to the south-east, avenue du Conseil des Commis Nord and via Xavier de Maistre Sud), via De Tillier, via Gramsci (north side), via Croce di Città, portion of via De Sales (west side, between via Croce di Città) and piazza Giovanni XXIII and via Aubert (stretch between via Croce di Città and via Marché Vaudan).
