(Buenos Aires, 07. May 2024, ANRed/poonal).- In Buenos Aires, in the Barracas district, a hotel room in which two lesbian couples were sleeping was set on fire. Pamela Cobos died a few hours later; Mercedes Roxana Figueroa suffered burns over 90 percent of her body and lived for two days. Both women were 52 years old. The two other women were taken to a special burn clinic after the attack. Andrea Amarante also suffered extensive injuries 75 percent the skin surface and is in a critical condition. Sofía Castroriglos is being treated for burns to her hand and face. Four other people were taken to hospital.
The perpetrator: a 62-year-old man from the neighborhood
According to witness statements from neighbors, a man had thrown a homemade bomb into the room where the four women were sleeping in the early hours of the morning. The perpetrator has already been identified. It is a 62-year-old man from the neighborhood who also came to the hospital for treatment. “I’ve had problems with him before, and so have other people,” said a neighbor. As the police reported, the attacker is said to have then injured himself. A sharp saw was confiscated from his apartment. The investigation into the crime is being conducted by the National Criminal and Penitentiary Court. Feminist organizations report that the attacker had previously harassed the women.
Homos are like lice
Under the Milei government, homosexuals and queers certainly have nothing to laugh about. Already last year, Foreign Minister Diana Mondino came to the issue of same-sex marriage with a bang Right word around the corner: “As a liberal, I agree with everyone’s life project. This applies to much more than equal marriage. Let me put it bluntly: If you don’t like washing and you put up with lice, then that’s your decision, that’s fine. But then don’t complain if people keep their distance from you because you have lice.”
