The commissioner for the environment and public education of the Municipality of Arenzano, Giovanna Damonte was attacked with kicks, punches and slaps by an 18-year-old girl to whom she had addressed inviting her to put on a mask. It happened this morning on the train to Genoa. The train was still between Sampierdarena and Genova Principe when the commissioner turned to two boys asking them to wear masks and offered one to a boy who did not have one. But when asked to keep her on the nose, the girl who was with the young man first hit Damonte with two slaps and then climbed onto a seat to kick her in the head. After the attack, the two boys fled while Trenitalia staff rescued the commissioner. Once she arrived in Genoa she was transported to the emergency room for the necessary medical treatment.
