The team led by Diego Corredor intensifies its preparation and adds youth with a view to returning to the first category.
In the middle of its preseason, Atlético Huila embarks on a search for talent with the aim of strengthening its squad for the B Tournament. Under the technical direction of Diego Corredor, the team has revealed the additions of four new playersthinking about his path towards promotion to the first category of Colombian football.
The first reinforcement that generated great expectations was the arrival of SEbastián Guerra, goalkeeper of the Colombian U-23 National Team, who joins the ranks of Atlético Huila with the mission of contributing his experience and quality between the three sticks. Guerra thus became the first official acquisition for the B Tournament in 2024.

Additionally, the Opita team presented three new faces that join its ranks, consolidating a mix of youth and experience to face the challenges that lie ahead:
Santiago Muñoz (Right Winger, 24 years old):
Coming from Once Caldas, Muñoz will provide speed and skill to Atlético Huila’s attack.
Julián Rodríguez (Central Defender, Youth):
The youth central defender Julián Rodríguez joins the team from Deportivo Independiente Medellín. With youth and potential, Rodríguez joins the Opita defense to strengthen the back line.
Breiner Moya (Volante, 20 years old):
With the purpose of injecting talent and youth into the midfield, Breiner Moya, from Deportivo Independiente Medellínjoins Atlético Huila.
It is expected that more hires will be announced in the coming days, thus seeking a solid and balanced team to face the challenges of the B Tournament in 2024. The Opita fans expect the arrival of men with experience this season.
It is worth mentioning that Atlético Huila will debut again in the promotion tournament, on February 3 against Deportes Quindío.
