The police of the southern district of Gwadar in Balochistan province of Pakistan say that between Wednesday and Thursday night, unknown persons attacked Sarbandar police station and killed seven people belonging to Punjab.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gwadar Imam Baloch told Independent Urdu that seven persons were killed in the firing by unknown persons in the limits of Sarbandar police station in Gwadar district of Balochistan.

According to the police, between Wednesday and Thursday around 3:30 am, unknown armed men attacked a residential quarter near Fish Harbor Jetty in Sarbandar, where eight people were sleeping, out of which seven people lost their lives while one person died. was injured

According to Gwadar Police, the bodies and the injured were shifted to Gwadar Hospital. The victims of this attack used to work at a barber shop in Sarbandar and most of them belonged to Khanewal district of Punjab.

According to police officials, after the incident, the security forces surrounded the area and started searching for the accused.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the killing of seven people in Gwadar and said that ‘this incident of terrorism is a cowardly act of the enemies of the country,’ and he also expressed his determination to root out the scourge of terrorism. Expressed.

Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the deaths in Gwadar incident and said that ‘the beasts who play with the lives of innocent people do not deserve to be called human beings.’

He further said that ‘we are equal participants in the grief of the bereaved families.’

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti also condemned the Gwadar incident and said that ‘the killing of innocent laborers in Gwadar is open terrorism.’

He further said that ‘terrorists and their facilitators will be chased. There is no soft corner and no place for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan. We will use any kind of force against the terrorists.’

This is not the first incident of such killing in Balochistan. Earlier, on April 28 last month, two laborers belonging to Punjab were killed by unknown persons in Balochistan’s Makran district.

In this incident, which took place at Sarankan in Makran Division’s Kech district, unknown persons shot and killed two construction workers in a house and escaped.

Earlier, on April 12, on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr, nine passengers from Punjab were alighted from a passenger bus going from Quetta to Taftan, a border town adjacent to Iran, at Nushki.

SSP Allah Bakhsh Baloch of Nushki district bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan said that more than a dozen unknown armed men stopped the vehicles and started checking after blocking the national highway of Quetta Nushki Taftan and a bus. After checking the identity cards of the passengers, nine persons belonging to Punjab province were kidnapped and taken along. Later, the bullet-riddled bodies of the hostages were found in the nearby hills.
