Intense rainfall and expected storms: the depression circulation will begin to lose power only in three days
CAGLIARI. Intense rains and more storms will hit Sardinia as well as the Northwest of the Peninsula (especially Piedmont), and Ionian Calabria, Basilicata and southern Puglia. For another three days, Italy will be trapped in a cyclonic circulation that seems to be resolved definitively only from Thursday. If, in fact, on Tuesday the weather begins to improve in Piedmont, it will not do so in the South, in the Center and in Lombardy and Emilia Romagna; more and more widespread precipitation is expected in these areas and also in the form of storms on Puglia, Molise, Abruzzo and Marche.
It will continue to rain in Sardinia while this afternoon it will begin to worsen in western Sicily as well. The active depressionary circulation near Sardinia will gradually begin to lose power over the course of Wednesday when the rains will become less incisive and more irregularly distributed, especially in the Center-South.
Starting from Thursday the high pressure of the Azores will return to conquer our country starting from the North towards the rest of Italy by Friday, thus putting an end to this wave of bad weather. The anticyclonic break, however, will not last long, in fact from the Arctic Circle a very cold air mass is ready to swoop down on Italy towards the end of the month. If this is confirmed we will see the first taste of winter with a drop in temperatures of up to 10 ° C in all regions.
