BATTIPAGLIA – The ‘Stop Tampon Tax’ initiative for the 22% VAT reduction on sanitary napkins finally reaches the province of Salerno. In fact, a pharmacy in Battipaglia, one of the best known in the city, is the first in the entire province to embrace and support this cause. Precisely to make its contribution to this motion, the historic point has decided to launch its own initiative on this issue entitled ‘#RedPower’, which supports the slogan ‘The cycle is not a luxury’. At the point of sale located in via Roma it will be possible to buy sanitary pads, every weekend in May, without VAT at 22%. A small step forward hoping that this can also move the institutions, as happened in other municipalities in Italy, to say ‘no’ to the tax on an asset that is in all respects of primary necessity.
