Belluno, French tourists blocked at high altitude: recovered by helicopter

by admin

CORTINA. At around 13.30 today, following their request for help, the Suem di Pieve di Cadore helicopter took off in the direction of Sorapis, where, climbing path number 215 leading to the Vandelli Refuge, three 23-year-old French tourists were blocked , without knowing how to retrace their steps or advance. One of the three, in fact, had managed to cross a canal covered with hard snow, while the two companions had stopped earlier, but she herself was no longer able to travel backwards. Having identified the point where they were located – after the stretch equipped with the ladders – the helicopter rescue technician recovered them one at a time with a 25-meter winch. The three girls were then dropped off at Passo Tre Croci.
