Belluno swimming pool, work on the plunge pool roof will soon start

The Municipality has allocated a figure of 75 thousand euros

The money is there, and work will begin shortly to fix the roof of the plunge pool in the pool, torn up by bad weather a month ago. 150 square meters of coverage flew away during a violent storm, and last week the junta provided the resources for the intervention. “We will need 75 thousand euros,” explains the deputy mayor and budget councilor, Paolo Gamba. “We took the money from the alienation chapter, because the Municipality recently collected 400,000 euros. It was urgent to define the financial coverage to start the works. Then when the refreshments arrive, the sums will end up in part current ». The Region has opened the state of calamity for that weather event, but reimbursements could also arrive from the insurance.

“The offices are taking steps to contact the companies for an estimate,” continues Gamba. “I think that as early as next week, or shortly thereafter, the roof repair work will begin.” At the moment the diving pool is closed, the municipality’s goal is to complete the intervention by the end of the summer.

Yesterday Gamba discussed with the manager of Public Works, on the swimming pool but not only: “We have taken stock of the situation on many projects underway and on those to come,” continues the deputy mayor. “Urban regeneration construction sites 1 need to be closed, urban regeneration interventions must be planned 2. Here times are very tight because the works will have to be completed by 2026 so we have to rush”. Gamba also inquired about the project for the new bridge over the Piave: funding must be found, and it is necessary to understand precisely how much it will cost to build the new bridge that will replace the bailey.

On the other hand, a meeting with the sole director of Sportamente is scheduled for next week, to take stock of the company’s accounts and ongoing activities. “Work is proceeding on the athletics track at the Polisportivo and those at the Palasport are being completed,” explains Fabio Gasperin. «Only the windows to be installed on the short side of the system are missing. This project has completely renovated the De Mas, all the systems, changing rooms and bathrooms have been redone ». Activities that Gasperin will illustrate to Gamba, for the handover that will also lead to the identification of a new director for the company.
