ROME. The dictat, mentioned at the convention of the “Italy, we are” party, is outlined: “Salvini and Meloni: create a single party by 2023”. Excluding cold castings, but a two-year long construction from below to win the vote. The Silvio Berlusconi thought leads to a great Republican party for a stable government: «Our task is to build a Republican party on the American model. This – together with the economic reforms – is an indispensable condition for Italy to really start again ».
And on his future he adds: «Fortunately I am better but the doctors who treat me still do not allow me to participate in public events. However, I promise to be with you soon also in view of the important electoral appointments this autumn. I am still in the field and I intend to stay there despite everything that has happened to me in recent years – he added – you know me, I have not let myself be discouraged by obstacles of any kind, I will continue to do everything I consider right and useful for Forza Italia, to my country and for freedom “.
On the liquidation of Forza Italia he is categorical, after reiterating the opposition to the patrimonial: «No identity must be scarified. I urge everyone not to worry. There is no demobilization nor liquidation of Forza Italia. On the contrary Forza Italia must be strengthened and organized even better. A united center-right will be a center-right in government only if the liberal, guarantor and pro-European soul of Fi is widely and strongly represented in this new political formation ”.
At the beginning of his telephone speech at the “Italia ci siamo” convention, he also denied the news on the commitment of his family in politics: “This morning I read that my family and some of my collaborators would be working on the events concerning Forza Italy, relations with the League and the Italian center-right project. These are absolutely invented news that radically distort the meaning of our political initiative. I’m sorry my family is being called into question once again. My children have nothing to do with politics. I have a relationship of deep affection with my loved ones but by choice of them and mine none of them deal in any way with politics, much less with the future of Forza Italia and the same goes for the managers who continue to deal brilliantly with the companies I have founded”. And then he added: “Any decision on Forza Italia I’ll take by summarizing with our management team.”
