Davide Zeppegno, Claudio Schifanella, Paolo Minetti for the majority, Stefano Pellegrino for IdeaMontanaro and Enrico Bettini for the Lega are the municipal councilors who make up the special commission for the “New multi-purpose rolling basin. An opportunity for the hydrogeological safety of the town and for the redevelopment of the municipal area of Strada Vallo ”.

The Commission, in which three experts will also participate, was voted not without difficulty during the City Council on Wednesday the 13th. Precisely at the moment of the discussion, in fact, a blackout that involved practically the whole country forced a suspension of the session of almost one hour.

IdeaMontanaro’s councilors made an excursus on the history of projects for securing hydrogeological risks in the last 10 years and complained about the delay in the appointment of the commission, which they requested in 2019, when we started talking about the New Basin project. Laminating.

Furthermore, they would have liked that a consultant, not necessarily an “expert”, could also be part of the commission.

However, the request was rejected by the group leader committee specifically convened. Mayor Giovanni Ponchia explained that “the procedure was not easy and the pandemic also slowed down the work” and launched an appeal for “this unique opportunity. I don’t understand all this fear. The project is for a hydraulic work. I ask for everyone’s cooperation ».

At the moment the project carried out by a private individual has not yet been officially presented.

The commission should take office as soon as the board resolution is enforceable. At the first meeting, the commissioners should be able to view the documentation currently available. –
