It could be said that the picture was unchanged if the complaint promoted in December by Andrea Occleppo, an entrepreneur from Pavone with adolescent children who were in turn former GTT commuters on Ivrea, had not come to the point. The petition launched by him and signed by 60 users was presented on Wednesday at the Prosecutor’s Office in Ivrea. Occleppo filed it with the lawyer Alberto Bazzani, who investigated the dossier, now waiting to be assigned to a prosecutor. «Still Wednesday, some parents wrote to me to inform me that their children had entered school at 9 am because the 7.30 bus had not passed – Occleppo says -. Nothing has changed. We are most concerned, above all, that Gtt inform users in advance if a race does not pass or is not there. That at least update the timetables, respond to the e-mails in a detailed way (not with the usual e-mail that says nothing), in short, give us the elements to plan our commitments and the day. And yet, until today, the truth is that you go to the stop and wait. Sometimes the bus arrives at other times it doesn’t. But you pay for the ticket and the season ticket ». Giovanni Ambrosio, Cgil Ivrea contact person and Filt Cgil local secretary, estimates that currently there are an average of 15 trips per day. And he does not foresee anything good for next week, being Tuesday 15 the day on which unvaccinated drivers over fifty will be suspended under the latest Dpcm. The absences of the no vaxes will therefore add to one problem (the age of the vehicles).

Between urban and non-urban races, GTT has about seventy drivers in total. «The hard core here is made up of 5, 6 people without a Green pass – says Ambrosio -. Now they come to work with tampons, even if they often fail to cover the shift. Understandably, it’s not easy to make ends meet. The other drivers are doing bad life, these, yes, vaccinated: every day, until 6 pm, they do not know what they will do next day, between unscheduled shifts and requests for overtime. I fear that if the company does not send replacement staff, it will be tough from Tuesday. They will be able to skip up to fifty races a day, given that the absences of the unvaccinated will be added to the old vehicles that fail.

The first cause of ghost races remains, the buses to be sent to the workshop. Between Traversella, Pont, Rivarolo, Ivrea, GTT has seventy-five vehicles in circulation. Most of these are buses discarded from the Turin urban service to which 12 must be added with at least 21 years of seniority and a million kilometers. –
