The meeting hall of the territorial commune of Mhamid El Ghizlane witnessed the organization of an important symposium on “Water” on the occasion of World Water Day on March 22, 2024, under the slogan “Water is a blessing, it is all our responsibility to preserve it.”
The symposium witnessed a notable presence of partners, actors and organizers represented by the New Mhamid Rehabilitation Secondary School and the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water, in addition to the Islamic Affairs Delegation and the local Scientific Council of Zagora.
The participants highlighted the importance of rationalizing the use of water and the role of Islam in calling on people to preserve it. A diverse group representing students and members of the Environmental Club, young journalists, elected officials, and civil society associations participated in enriching the discussion in this symposium.
During these works, the need to promote positive behaviors in water management was emphasized, by presenting recommendations for responsible and sustainable community mobilization. The speakers and participants were also honored by distributing two souvenirs and certificates of appreciation.
