The time has come for the appointments of the new board of directors of the Foundation of the historic carnival of Ivrea. The mayor Stefano Sertoli has written in recent days to the group leaders asking them to present at the meeting on 6 October next the shortlist of ten people from which he will have to appoint three directors. The fourth director, on the other hand, will be proposed, in a dry manner by the members and also Sertoli asked them to be informed by 6 October. As for the president, it is always the mayor Sertoli who must formalize the appointment.
The call for applications expired on 30 June and there were three applications. In addition to the outgoing Piero Gillardi, Franco Rosso, former manager, president of Ivrea Rugby and the management of the Castellazzo bean bean and Roberto Binaghi, Milanese manager, expert in marketing, communication and new media. Net of the fact that in recent years cross-cutting criticism has been unleashed on Gillardi and that there is a veto by the Lega on Rosso, the appointment of Binaghi is taken for granted even if it is not yet formalized. A team that is also necessarily operational as the Foundation has no structure.
Now, after a Carnival full of controversy and interrupted by the pandemic and a skipped edition, pulling the strings and resuming the discussion is not easy. The push to do the 2022 edition is there, but there is a lot of work to be done and any decision must be made by the end of October. The first step, however, is to put together a team to compose the board of directors. Outgoing members can be re-proposed Marco Boni e Marina Zannini. And, to have someone with the situation under control on horsemen and orange throwers, Roberto Panetti, current vice president.
All the names circulating at the moment are proposed by Forza Italia and Lega.
