Before the 61st guarantee judge of Bogotá, the hearings were held to legalize the capture and formulation of charges against Jean Carlo Bermúdez Camargo, the man who drove the motorcycle on which the hitman who murdered the businessman Hernán Roberto Franco Charry would escape.

Bermúdez Camargo is 26 years old, is a native of Casanare and has an ID issued in Arauca and, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, he earns his living as a security guard. He also has no judicial record to date. However, the prosecution identified him as a co-author of the crime. For this reason, three crimes were charged against him: aggravated homicide, illegal possession of weapons as a co-author, and reception.

Franco Charry died around 9:00 am at the El Country Clinic and the authorities managed to capture Bermúdez, who was the person driving the motorcycle on which he and the other hitman were traveling. In the middle of the exchange of shots, an escort from a private security scheme managed to wound the two subjects who carried out the attack, however, whoever shot Charry managed to escape and the Police only captured the driver of the motorcycle.

After reading the charges, Jean Carlo Bermúdez Camargo pleaded not guilty, leaving aside the possibility of receiving a reduction in sentence of up to 12.5%.
