A memorandum of understanding was signed between the provincial administration of Catanzaro and the Rock Museum. It was signed by the president of the institution, Amedeo Mormile, and the founder of the Museum, Piergiorgio Caruso.
According to the protocol, the Province undertakes to guarantee “the full functionality of the museum structure in terms of cleaning, maintenance and supervision”. For its part, the Rock Museum will guarantee “the organization, within its scope, of artistic and musical events with the aim of pursuing the improvement and cultural growth of the city of Catanzaro”.
The agreement has a duration of 10 years, renewable.
The Rock Museum, of which Piergiorgio Caruso, as well as founder, is the owner of the collection that constitutes its heritage, was inaugurated on 7 May 2011 and since then has hosted countless events and concerts by important singers and groups of Italian rock and international. Among them Scarlet Rivera, known for being Bob Dylan’s violinist.
