You arrive at Olbia-Costa Smeralda airport

Boom of arrivals in Olbia and Cagliari over the weekend, a taste of the summer season

OLBIA. There were no special welcoming committees or banquets, but the landing of the European Air Charter Jsc flight arriving from Sofia at 11 was a first in its own way. The Bulgarians have arrived at the Olbia airport, one of those with the highest international vocation in Europe. The first charter flight from Sofia to Olbia, after a year of Covid, was baptized by 150 tourists

Aside from the Bulgarian flight, yesterday at Olbia airport there was the first real boom day of summer arrivals. An assault on the Costa Smeralda port, which this summer will boast 78 different destinations in 19 countries.

Also the ā€œMario Mameliā€ airport of Cagliari-Elmas this weekend will record a new boom in passenger traffic. Estimates from Sogaer, the company that manages the airport, speak of 30 thousand people between Friday and Saturday.

In short, charter flights and the launch of the European green pass bode well for a great tourist season in Sardinia. The premises are all there.
