“To date, four apartments in fact not used according to the rules for assigning public housing have been reported to Ater and the Municipality,” explains the commander of the Local Police Andrea Gallo. “In one case the owner was abroad, in a second case the apartment was empty and unused, while in a third case the assignees were living in a completely different area and house. In the fourth case, which occurred this morning, the apartment had been closed for several months ».
The anomalous situations were reported to Ater and the Social Services Sector of the Municipality, in addition to the registry for updating the residences. “In the checks this morning, a delicate situation of loneliness and abandonment was also found in an elderly lady, found in conditions sanitation very precarious and promptly reported to the Social Services “.
“We wanted to further intensify the checks as we want to ensure that the municipal houses are occupied by those who actually meet the requirements and respect the rules,” said Mayor Mario Conte. «As I have already pointed out on several occasions, who has the opportunity to buy one car worth 100 thousand euros he cannot live in the municipal houses. The lodgings are intended for those in a state of real need. The drug dog Luke was also employed with the agents. ”
