The executive director of Acción Ciudadana, Eduardo Escobar, recognized the imminent victory of the Nueva Ideas candidate, Nayib Bukele, in the presidential elections this past Sunday, February 4.

“With 70% of the minutes, there is a clear trend and, obviously with the remaining 30%, the result will not change even if only one party got it, all those votes fail to arrive,” said Eduardo Escobar, who has been a staunch opponent. of the current government.

Despite the will of the people and what the Constitutional Chamber dictates, Escobar insists that Nayib Bukele’s candidacy was “unconstitutional.”

On the other hand, the director of Citizen Action also explained that the Presidential and Legislative elections, this Sunday, February 4, took place in a calm manner. “I did not hear and there are no reports of violence in the exercise of suffrage and that is positive, it seems that the entire country voted calmly,” he emphasized.

Finally, opponent Eduardo Escobar said that those who voted for Nayik Bukele “are complicit in a breach of the Constitution.”
