14th National Winter Games Comes to a Spectacular Close

The 14th National Winter Games, known as the “14th Winter”, will officially end on the evening of the 27th after a series of exciting events. As the closing ceremony approaches, the chief director of the opening and closing ceremonies, Yang Rong, and producer Wu Min, shared some of the highlights with media reporters in advance.

Yang Rong stated, “The closing ceremony is divided into two parts: ceremony and cultural and sports performance, continuing the themes of simplicity, safety, and excitement.” The cultural and sports performance will consist of four parts, each aiming for excellence and beauty. From showcasing the local cultural attributes of Inner Mongolia to praising the volunteers and event service support personnel, the ceremony will embody the spirit of unity and gratitude.

Furthermore, the ceremony will also introduce the venue for the next Winter Games, the “Fifteenth Winter,” through a dynamic display program titled “Winter Rhythm Between Mountains and Seas,” which promises to integrate the local characteristics of Liaoning in a captivating manner.

With a total of 266 actors and 506 performers on stage, the closing ceremony will feature many students and children, showcasing the unique ice and snow culture of northern Xinjiang. Yang Rong emphasized the importance of these young participants as cultural ambassadors, spreading the rich heritage of China’s traditional culture.

As the largest and highest-level ice and snow event in China after the Beijing Winter Olympics, the “Fourteenth Winter” aims to not only promote the development of the ice and snow industry but also to inspire a national passion for winter sports, ultimately realizing the grand vision of becoming a sports powerhouse.
