The Municipal Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow rainstorm warning. The meteorological department predicts that for three days from today, the cold and warm air masses will continue to fight, and the precipitation will be strong. There will still be heavy rain today and tomorrow.

Yesterday, the weak cold air and the southerly warm and humid air were in short contact, and the rain did not stop until nightfall. Monitoring data show that from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm yesterday, the cumulative rainfall at 17 sites in our city was greater than 50 mm, and the average rainfall in Siming District in the 6 districts was the largest, reaching 49 mm; the city’s largest rainfall site appeared in Dongshan, Siming District. Reservoir station, the cumulative rainfall is 61.5 mm.

Affected by the double pressure of rain and cold air, the temperature in our city continued to be low and dropped to the lowest level in recent times. The highest temperature at the city’s meteorological station at noon was only 22.1 ℃, and the temperature in all parts of the city was suppressed below 23 ℃. The highest temperature appeared near Houtiancun Station in Xiang’an District, only 22.7 ℃.

During the day today, the southwest warm and humid airflow exerted force, bringing more water vapor from the sea, and the rain increased accordingly. The southerly wind also increased from 3-4 to 4-5, and gust of 7-8. The city is cloudy with torrential rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, the relative air humidity is maintained between 80% and 95%, and there is light fog or fog in the morning and evening.

The cold air mass in the north will also “increase troops” south. It is expected that starting tomorrow, the temperature in our city will drop significantly, and the lowest temperature will be only 15℃-16℃ on the morning of the 17th. The good news is that meteorologists predict that from next Monday, the rain in our city will temporarily stop, but the temperature difference between day and night will be large.
