Cold air shows its power in Guangdong as widespread rainfall is expected today and tomorrow. According to the China Weather Network, heavy rain is forecasted for Zhaoqing and other areas in northern Guangdong.

The cold air will bring continued rain to most parts of Guangdong, with the northern region experiencing stronger rainfall. Yesterday, areas such as Ruyuan, Shaoguan, and Shixing received over 30 millimeters of precipitation in 24 hours, ranking among the top three in the country for national station precipitation.

The Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory predicts light to moderate rain and local heavy rain in northern Guangdong and northern Zhaoqing, with freezing rain or freezing conditions possible in high-altitude mountainous areas. Temperatures are expected to drop, with minimums ranging from 2°C to 6°C in certain regions.

In Guangzhou, cloudy skies and scattered light rain are expected during the day and night, with temperatures between 8°C to 10°C. Shenzhen will also see cold weather with scattered light rain, temperatures ranging from 11°C to 14°C.

Looking ahead, the day after tomorrow will bring cloudy conditions to western Guangdong and the possibility of light rain in some areas. It will be slightly warmer in the southern cities and counties compared to the north.

The meteorological department advises the public to drive carefully and be cautious of reduced visibility and slippery roads due to the rainfall. Stay updated on the weather by following the China Weather Network on their official WeChat account, Weibo, and Douyin.
