Conegliano, the Lancia Fulvia “web star” removed from via Zamboni after 40 years

by admin

This morning, Wednesday 20, a tow truck took away the historic car that the owner had left in the same parking stall for four decades. Destination Padua, and then Vicenza

CONEGLIANO. Someone was really fond of it, the old one Lancia Fulvia purchased in the 1970s by the spouses Angelo Fregolent and Bertilla Modolo, and left parked in via Zamboni for over 40 years. So, this morning, it made a certain effect to see her being taken away from the tow truck.

Someone in the city wanted to scrap it, so much so that they wrote anonymous letters of insults to the two pensioners, who also turned to the local police.

The fate of the old Fulvia, who has become a web star in recent weeks, so much so as to attract reporters and reporters from all over Italy, will however be more glorious. Thanks to the intervention of some enthusiasts, in the next few days the car will be exhibited in a vintage car and motorcycle show in Padua, then it will be transferred to Vicenza, for a proper restoration. Finally she will return to the city, where she will be welcomed by the garden of the Cerletti school, like an heirloom, a few tens of meters away where she has “lived” her last 40 years.
