SALERNO – Campania is confirmed as the “yellow zone” with an Rt index of 0.82 (0.8-0.84). From next Monday all of Italy, including Campania, should return to the yellow zone. Only Valle D’Aosta remains in the balance, which has yellow numbers but could remain in the orange zone for another week. The final decision will be up to the Higher Institute of Health, after a discussion with the representatives of the Region. Meanwhile, the president of Valle D’Aosta, Erik Lavevaz, sent a letter to the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, asking for the region to be included in the yellow zone. The request is based on “the Rt index of Valle d’Aosta, which has been below the threshold of 1 for over a month; the incidence of new positive cases, which is around 150 per 100,000 inhabitants, and hospital indices which are very good “. Today Minister Speranza, on the basis of the weekly monitoring data on the progress of the Covid emergency, will sign the ordinances for the color changes of the regions, which will come into force starting from next Monday 17 May.
