There are 888 new coronavirus positives at 5 pm on Monday 12 July and bring the total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 4,272,163 (+ 0.02% day on day). The dead, in the last 24 hours, were 13 (+ 0.01%) so as to total 127,788 units from February 2020 to this part. The currently positives counted in Italy are 40,426 (-1.59%) and of these 1,149 hospitalized with symptoms (15 more, for an increase of 1.32%) and 158 in intensive care (three less, -1, 86%). The people subjected to home isolation are 39,119 (-1.68% day on day). In the 24 hours there are then 1,529 between discharged and recovered. This is the picture that emerges following the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, elaborated on the basis of 73,571 swabs carried out against the 143,332 on Sunday 11 July. The positivity rate rises to 1.21%, up from 0.97% the previous day.
Lazio first for new infections
The region where the greatest number of new cases are recorded is Lazio with 172 infections day on day. Sicily follows at an altitude of 150, while Emilia Romagna is in third place (118). In Lombardy there are 95 daily infections. Followed by Veneto (76), Campania (69), Tuscany (66) and Sardinia (51). Abruzzo, Basilicata and Calabria with zero new infections.

Emilia Romagna, 118 new cases and zero deaths
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, 387,715 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia Romagna, 118 more than the previous day, out of a total of 7,802 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 1.5%, a value not indicative of the general trend given the number of tampons performed, which on Sunday is lower than on other days. Furthermore, on holidays, especially the molecular ones, are made primarily on cases for which a positive result is often expected. There are no new deaths.
Tuscany, 66 positives and two deaths
The new cases registered in Tuscany are 66 out of 3,288 tests of which 2,979 molecular swabs and 309 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 2.01% (3.6% on first diagnoses). With half of the tests carried out and a slightly lower number of new cases, compared to the previous day, the rate of new positivity rises again. On Sunday, in fact, the new cases registered in Tuscany were 87 out of 6,965 tests, of which 5,050 molecular swabs and 1,915 rapid tests, with a rate of new positives of 1.25% (1.9% on the first diagnoses). From the regional bulletin on the epidemic we learn that the currently positive in Tuscany are 1,471 (-2% compared to Sunday), the hospitalized are 80 (1 less than Sunday), of which 14 in intensive care (1 less). There are 2 new deaths: 2 men, with an average age of 75, one in Pistoia and one in Siena. The average age of 66 new positives today is approximately 32 years (34% are under 20, 30% between 20 and 39, 32% between 40 and 59, 2% between 60 and 79, 2% have 80 years or older).
Sardinia, 51 new cases
There are 57,580 cases of positive Covid-19 positive in Sardinia as a whole since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 51 new cases were reported. A total of 1,415,018 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 1,017 tests compared to the previous figure. There are no new deaths (1,492 in total). Hospital admissions: 39 patients in the medical area (+1 compared to the previous report) and 2 in intensive care (+1).
