SASSARI. It accelerates, even trusting in the arrival of the necessary doses of vaccine and also taking into account some disruption and a few hitches. Ambitious goals are set, but the final one, namely the vaccination of 70 per cent of the population, still remains far away. There was talk, at a national level, of a possible goal in August. Yesterday Commissioner Figliuolo moved the pointer to September. To immunize 70 percent of Italians it is necessary to administer more than 84 million doses (2 for each, with the products in use now). With the current average of 240,000 doses per day, it would take 10 months to hit the 70 percent target, but we expect to accelerate further. Even in Sardinia, which in the first phase stood out for its slowness and which is now catching up. But that’s still not enough.
