CORTINA. A new batch of ministerial funds for infrastructures linked to Olympic mobility: 324 million to be divided between Veneto, Lombardy, the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano and Trento. Of these, the distribution criterion assigned to Veneto 81 million euros. That the council led by Luca Zaia has divided between the tunnel already planned in Cortina to serve the ring road (16 million), the access road to the Olympic village in Fiammes (4 million) and, above all, for Verona which goes to sixty million for the Abetone Brennero state road from Buttapietra to Verona. Verona which is the Olympic venue for the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and the opening of the Paralympics, but that funding has nevertheless raised more than one question.
Minister Federico D’Incà speaks of “unclear intervention”. “The 81 million allocated to Veneto for infrastructures in view of the Milan-Cortina Olympics in 2026 are an important figure that falls within the 324 million envisaged by the latest budget law: additional resources, researched very carefully and in which I have been strongly interested to ensure useful infrastructures for our communities. However, I do not agree with the breakdown that was announced today: the higher figure, equal to 61 million euros, is intended for the SS12 variant from Buttapietra to Verona: I have difficulty understanding this intervention and I wonder what the necessity for the purposes of the sporting event. This is a question that I will ask councilor De Berti who knows that area well. Without a doubt, the community of Buttapietra must be helped to improve the road network and I will work personally, but I believe that these important resources must be used for the mountain areas of the Belluno area, such as the safety of the Sp 251 of the Val di Zoldo at constant risk. closure due to landslides, and in the other road sections necessary to reach the areas involved or for the viability of the Comelico ».
The answer was not long in coming. “I consider offensive the statements of Minister D’Incà, who wants to insinuate a link between the allocation of 61 million for the State Road 12 and my geographical origin – said the vice president Elisa De Berti – I point out to the Minister how in the last five years I have brought to the Belluno area, with the delegations of my competence, over a billion euros of investments, the result of daily work with the territory and the Ministry to which I refer. Mine is therefore an overall vision of the problems of Veneto, which looks at the entire region and which works to bring solutions to the territory as a whole, certainly not for a part of it. I also find the accusation against me paradoxical, which takes on the tones of a criticism made out of spite by a Belluno minister who complains that the appropriation was not destined for the Belluno territory, thus demonstrating not only a limited vision but launching accusations that run against the same person who made them ».
And again: «Minister D’Incà’s reference to Val di Zoldo is out of place and shows little knowledge of the situation, since the work has no level of planning and therefore cannot be financed with these resources and built by 2025. I hope finally, that the Minister, beyond contesting the resources allocated, which is the result of agreements that we make with the government to which he belongs, begins to give us a hand in an effective way to ensure that the resources arrive in Veneto.
