Covid Hotel in Aosta, the USL signs the agreement with The Lodge

From August, the Aosta resident will be able to host about thirty positive Covids

The Usl Company announces the signing of an agreement with a residence in Aosta to give hospitality to the positives at Covid-19 until the end of October 2021, or even for the whole of 2021 as needed. The structure identified is The Lodge in via Viséran. From 1 August the structure will be able to accommodate about thirty people, housed in 17 rooms, infected with Sars Cov-2 and with mild or asymptomatic symptoms, therefore not in conditions that require hospital assistance. They may or may not be resident in the Aosta Valley and awaiting a negative swab to return home.

As the Local Health Authority explains, the agreement with the owners of the residence provides for a rent “with the payment in favor of the structure of a monthly fee and the reimbursement of condominium expenses and utilities while the activities and expenses for the provision of a custody service (surveillance), the activation of specific protocols for cleaning and sanitizing the rooms and common areas, meals as well as health surveillance by the USCA (Continuity Health Care Unit), under of isolation / quarantine “.

The official act of the director general of the USL is expected “in the next few days”. Guests at the Mignon hotel will be transferred to the residence “as soon as possible”. However, the hotel located near the hospital area will remain available as needed. Of the people hosted at the Mignon, two have already had the negative swab and therefore can leave the hotel and another four are awaiting the results of the molecular test.
