There is also a boom in infections in the Aosta Valley (+ 51%). And the race to the fourth dose begins. The USL, following the joint note with which the Ministry of Health, Cts and Aifa have expanded the vaccine audience receiving the fourth dose of the anti Covid 19 vaccination, has activated the reservation for all people over the age of 60 since last Wednesday and to all people over 12 years of age with high frailty motivated by certain concomitant or pre-existing pathologies.
Access to vaccination for these categories will start from Monday 18 July. Reservations can be made on the Poste Italiane portal in the usual way; free access to vaccination remains possible but, to avoid delays and inefficiencies, reservations are recommended. Pre-booked users will have priority when accessing vaccination hubs for vaccine delivery. Given the increase in the audience, the vaccination sessions have been increased and the vaccination hub of Pollein-Grand Place will be open, as well as on Tuesday afternoon, also on Friday afternoon (14-20) starting from 22 July, in the months in July and August.
Sessions are also scheduled at the Châtillon vaccination hub on Saturday 16 July and Saturday 20 August and at the Donnas clinic on Sunday 7 August (opening hours for both locations: from 8 to 14). Should the need arise, the sessions will be implemented further. Furthermore, it is always possible for everyone to access the reservation and administration of the first and second dose (primary vaccination cycle) and third dose (booster).
On the contagion front, the race to the top is highlighted by the numbers released by the Gimbe foundation. In the week from 6 to 12 July in Valle d’Aosta there was an increase in new cases equal to 51.1% compared to the previous week. There are 657 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, up 45.5% compared to seven days ago. The admissions, fortunately not serious, to the Parini hospital in Aosta also rise. The current infected people are close to 1,500 units.
Hiring and staff shortages node: there is finally good news. The USL has made it known that 29 nurses, 6 medical radiology technicians, 13 physiotherapists, 7 speech therapists and 2 health assistants are being hired with a fixed-term contract. The term of the contracts is set at 31/12/2023. –
