The activity will last until May 12 and they hope to attract a large influx of buyers.
Today, Thursday, May 9, the commercial event called Crazy Week begins in Ciudad del Este, with the aim of boosting the local economy through significant discounts on thousands of products. For four days, participating companies will offer discounts on a wide range of products, from electronics and clothing to perfumes and beverages, among other sectors.
The event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Services seeks to offer discounts and promotions during a specific week of the year, coinciding with the Mother’s Day celebrations in Brazil and Paraguay. The initiative aims to take advantage of the increased flow of visitors on this date to boost commercial activity in the municipality of Esteño.
Armando Ghazawi, general coordinator, explained that a security plan will be implemented in the microcenter to guarantee the well-being of visitors. “The security part is ready, we are working together with the National Police, Grupo Lince, Tourist Police, GEO, PMT, Consumer Defense, Municipality and the Public Ministry, in addition to the relief agencies,” he stated.
Pedestrian streets
The avenues for pedestrians are Adrián Jara, from Carlos Antonio López to Luis María Argaña. Also, the Carlos Antonio López Avenue in one direction (south/north); San Blas Avenue, from Leonardo Ramirez Rolón to Captain Miranda. Also, the streets Piribebuy and ItaYbaté, Rubio Ñu (between Monsignor Rodriguez and Adrian Jara avenues).
Likewise, there will be free internet, a gastronomic and craft walk in the commercial area so that tourists not only buy, but stay to enjoy the gastronomy and other attractions, and thus benefit more economic sectors of the city.
