The hypothesis that appears in the file opened on the death of Roberto Basso, the 64-year-old tobacconist found dead on Monday morning in his home in Jesolo Paese, is voluntary homicide. Basso was found, with his clothes on, in the bedroom of the house. Indicatively, the time of death was identified between 10 pm and midnight on Sunday 5 May; but more information will be provided by the autopsy, scheduled for Thursday.
According to what emerged from the investigation into the body carried out by the medical examiner Cristina Mazzarollo, the man’s death may have been caused by injuries inflicted on the head with a blunt instrument, not yet found, despite the fact that the area surrounding the house was also searched with the drones.
