Deputy Luis “Tiki” González Vaesken, head of the House of Representatives Education, Culture and Worship Committee.

The Commission on Education, Culture and Worship, chaired by the deputy for Alto Paraná, Luís “Tiki” González Vaesken, will analyze, this Monday, March 11, the project known as “Zero hunger in schools”. This is the bill “That creates the National School Feeding Fund for the equitable universalization of school feeding (Zero hunger in our schools and education system) and amends and expands Law No. 5210/2014 ‘On school feeding and sanitary control ‘ and its subsequent modifications“.

The legislator said that the project was very well received at the citizen level and that, as congressmen, they are committed to carrying it forward. “We have generated a dialogue table because there were points that we wanted to clarify; “The Minister of Education, Luís Ramírez, as well as Minister Lea Giménez, explained the scope of this project to the governors and mayors, even because they had their concerns,” he expressed. In the same vein, he spoke of the modifications that could be suggested in the project, which must be widely discussed. The parliamentarian indicated that they do not want the exclusion of any sector. “This project underwent modifications; In the case of the municipalities, the funds allocated remained practically the same, taking into account that previously the resources of Fonacide were affected; The governorates will also have an active participation,” concluded deputy González Vaesken.
