Eighteen locals have accepted the challenge of the Friulian Committee for the defense of taverns and Confesercenti, getting involved and proposing menus with typical products during the days of the festival, between Thursday and Sunday.
The Friulian capital, therefore, will renew the appointment with good regional cuisine, with taverns that “year after year, are recovering centrality in the programming of Friuli Doc, an important event capable of combining good food with culture”, he explained Marco Zoratti, president of Confesercenti Udine, among the promoters of “Friuli Doc in Osteria”, an event sponsored by the Municipality, Friuli nel Mondo, Promoturismo Fvg, Friulian Philological Society, Pro loco Città di Udine, in collaboration with Arlef, regional agency for the Friulian language (the latter body which has dealt with the tradition of menus in marilenghe, which will also be available in German).
«The kermesse – continued Zoratti – now almost thirty years ago, was born from the initiative of the hosts, it has then grown and matured, changing and becoming more and more articulated, as we know it today. Always, yesterday as today, a place of socializing, the taverns will be present at Friuli Doc number 27 with 18 different menus, capable of satisfying all palates. Each cooking proposal will not fail to be accompanied by a good glass of wine, all at low prices, from 4 to 13 euros. “The involvement of eighteen taverns is undoubtedly a great goal for this initiative, which I hope will be consolidated in the coming years, because the role of taverns within Friuli Doc and in Friuli is very important – clarified the Councilor for Activities production, tourism and major events, Maurizio Franz -.
