In the last hours, the National Civil Police (PNC) together with the personnel of the Armed Forces detained remnants of several members of the terrorist structures in different areas of El Salvador.

One of those arrested was Francisco Alonso Fuentes Quintanilla, alias Chivo, a homeboy from 18R, who for years was in charge of extorting the residents and merchants of Quezaltepeque, to finance the gang’s crimes.

The PNC report indicates that El Chivo has a history of: illicit groups, aggravated extortion and threats. He adds that he will initially be prosecuted for illicit groups, while the other crimes in which he is involved are investigated.

Another detained terrorist is Jorge Norberto Funes Romero, alias Drimer, a homeboy from the 18 gang, who was captured in the La Cabaña canton of El Paisnal, San Salvador.

The terrorist will be accused of illegal groups, a crime for which he will spend no less than 20 years in prison.

The official report details that Drimer moved the drugs, to later finance weapons for the gang. “His crimes reached this point, thanks to the war against the gangs,” the PNC wrote on the X network.

In another procedure, the Police arrested Elías Otoniel Pérez Martínez, alias Zorro, who was in charge of murdering people on behalf of the gang.

The Mara Salvatrucha terrorist has a history of being involved in terrorist organizations, according to the PNC. Zorro was captured in the Los Llanitos canton, Ayutuxtepeque, and will face justice for illegal groups.

The police report indicates that for years he was the triggerman of the MS13, but none of the crimes committed will go unpunished.
While in San Juan Opico, La Libertad, the Armed Forces personnel located Osmin Antonio Valle Escalante, known as Chino Tanga, a homeboy of the MS, who boasted of not being captured for having moved from his area of ​​residence.

He has a history of illegal groups, threats, resistance and aggravated or administrative homicide. “We continue to remove remnants of criminal structures from the communities,” indicated the FAES, in its X account.
