Former Chamber President Siegfried Bracke is no longer chairman of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF). According to Bracke himself, this is the result of the commotion surrounding his pension payments, he says on the website of the weekly magazine Knack.

A few days ago, the Flemish government appointed seven directors to the VAF for a term of three years. For six of them it concerns a reappointment, the seventh is former N-VA Member of the European Parliament Ralph Packet.
Packet replaces Siegfried Bracke on the board of directors of the VAF, who will be granted an “honorable discharge”, according to the decisions of the Flemish government.
Bracke tells Knack that the dismissal is a direct result of the commotion surrounding the pension payments he received as former Speaker of the House. This would have been reported to him by the N-VA. “This says more about the party than about me,” says Bracke. “The party convicts me without trial.”
The VAF supports audiovisual activities such as films, series, games and podcasts.
