* We received serious news that raises concern about the tragic conditions that refugees are experiencing as a result of the cursed war in Sudan. It was stated in the front of the news that (750 men and women living with the AIDS virus have stopped receiving treatment in refugee camps in eastern Sudan)

* The Sudanese Family Planning Association announced that it will provide health services to refugees in the camps of Gedaref State (A/Um Rakouba, Al-Tanidiba) for a period of three years (from 2020 to 2023).

Dr. Siham Jaber, Director of the Department of Digital Services and Interventions, said that the association provided many health services, the most important of which were prevention and treatment services for HIV and AIDS. The association raised awareness for all age groups in the camps and host communities by focusing on youth and women, providing voluntary testing and psychological counseling, and the process of Stopping vertical transmission from the cohabiting pregnant mother to the fetus and providing antiviral treatment to those in the two camps, in addition to those transferred from other camps to receive treatment.

* The association revealed the provision of services in full cooperation and coordination with the National Program to Combat AIDS and the Ministry of Health in Gedaref State. The association announced that the number of cohabiting persons receiving treatment in the camps (Umm Rakouba, Tanidba, and Babakri) has reached more than 750 cohabiting men and women who are regular in treatment.

* It was revealed that the presence of the virus in some cases reached zero according to the results of the virus blood test and their regularity in treatment. She announced that the new cases discovered reflected the high rate of spread of the AIDS virus among young people, which reaches 10%, which, according to the World Health Organization’s classification, constitutes a general epidemic rate – which indicates that the situation is alarming and that there is an imminent spread of the pandemic among the refugees in the camp and the host communities as well.

*.She said that receiving treatment is a human right for cohabiting women, men and children and a necessity for the continuation of their lives. She revealed that interrupting treatment may cause complications that put their lives in danger.

* Perhaps it is the alarm bell that rings on the doors of refugees at home and abroad as they search for safety in light of a war imposed on them and they are paying the price with their lives and lives and awaiting relief and near victory.
