An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was recorded by the Ingv at 9.33 pm in the Catania area. The event was clearly felt in Catania and the province. Reports also came from the provinces of Syracuse and Ragusa.
The hypocenter was located six kilometers south-east of Motta Sant’Anastasia and a depth of eleven kilometers. The same area where five other earthquakes with a magnitude of between 2.4 and 3.3 had already been located from 9:36 pm
