CHIAVERANO. This summer, after the break last year, due to the Covid emergency, the journey towards the knowledge of museums and Romanesque churches united in the network of the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea and entrusted to the coordination of the Ami Ecomuseum resumes.

A trip that makes use of cultural operators, this year 10, identified by an ad hoc call which is announced annually. The “ciceroni” during the visiting season, which runs from the end of June to the beginning of October, carry out custody and reception activities for visitors to the cultural assets involved in the projects. museums and twelve churches. Six eco-museums are currently open: in Chiaverano, Andrate, Foglizzo, Cossano, Zimone and Sala Biellese. The churches are all open. The two initiatives have the common goal of enhancing the museum sites and the numerous Romanesque churches in the area, to make them known and promote them as part of a representative system of art, culture, traditions and local history.

The activity of the selected operators will be remunerated, with a reimbursement of approximately 450 euros per month, will be developed over a period of four consecutive months in the summer and will be carried out exclusively on weekends. In the selection of candidates, the age between 18-40 years, university level training (graduates or undergraduates) with knowledge of a foreign language, belonging to specific categories (students, unemployed, unemployed) will be considered as preferential requirements. And finally, the residence in the municipalities of: Andrate, Bollengo, Chiaverano, Cossano Canavese, Foglizzo, Sala Biellese, Zimone, towns where museums are located, will be a further factor of preference.

The selections will be used to form a team of ten tourist guides to welcome visitors and to keep, from June to September, the architectural heritage of the museum network for 16 consecutive weekends. Eleven cultural operators for the museums and three those who will have to deal with visits to Romanesque churches. The selection of candidates will be conducted by a specific internal commission, which will examine the applications and, if necessary, invite the candidate to an individual interview. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the application by June. The relationship will be governed by an intermittent fixed-term employment contract with a salary of ten euros per hour.
